EPISODES

With over 600 episodes produced, Saturday Night Live is still one of the few places on television where viewers can enjoy a perfect mixture of sketch comedy and musical performances. Considering how popular the show has become, it's no wonder SNL welcomes major celebrities and diverse musical acts year after year.

Each episode has its own page in The Archives. In addition to listing all guests, it provides a sketch-by-sketch summary of the episode, with role information on all individuals appearing in each sketch. Names of cast members, recurring characters, impressions, and recurring sketches link to their corresponding pages.

Names of non-cast individuals in each sketch are color-coded as follows:

Hosts  appear in pink
Musical guests  appear in green
Special guests  appear in aqua
Cameos  appear in yellow
Filmed cameos  appear in purple

segments appear in light blue, while segments on appear in gray.

The views allow you to customize what role information is displayed in the summary. Choose one of the options on the drop-down menu to view:

1   sketch titles only - no roles displayed
2   cast member roles only
3   host roles only
4   musical guest roles only
5   special guest roles only
6   cameo roles only
7   recurring characters only
8   impressions only
9   all role information
P   photos of selected segments

Click on to pop up a numeric summary of individual roles. Move your mouse pointer over the host bumper to see the musical guest bumper, if one is available. Move your mouse pointer over or "info" icons to reveal interesting facts and trivia about particular episodes and sketches.
